Tompkin Park was one of the first no-leash dog walk parks in New York. This is just a quick snapshot of it in the dark as we got out of the taxi.
Tompkin Park
Wednesday night Jon and I went up to the East Village to check out 2 of his friends in a poetry slam at the Nuyorican Cafe. Somebody missed the exit for the train station and we were starving by the time we got out of the taxi near Tompkin Park. Benny’s was a cute Village Mexican restaurant. But it was different. Beside the cool crowd (that’s us!) it seemed like pretty healthy food. Ever hear of Cojita Cheese????
Here are some photos of US Airways Flight 1549 tethered at Battery Park, still floating in the Hudson River. Barry lives right around the corner from this scene. Thanks for sending these great shots in!
Are we Human? Did you see the concert at the Madison Square Garden?
See the metrony.com Review Crew girls as they test out the Times Square Toys R us Ferris Wheel (just days after seeing the film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off!). But Alas! Something scary happens in the store and it is caught on video! See it here!
Have you seen the Broadway Play Wicked? I read the book as well. Check out this cookie. It tasted good after it was done with the photo shoot! Poor cookie
Add Shrek The Musical to the list of Things for Kids to Do in NY. Shrek is a Broadway Show based on a combination of the film and William Steig’s book, Shrek!. This cute musical opened in December and has been a hot Broadway ticket ever since. Never fear! We got a deal on tickets on a Tuesday ($89). Sometimes the tickets can be quite reasonable on a Sunday afternoon. The rates for low end seats can be close to $200 if you go for the popular Saturday Matinee. It pays to shop the price.
